Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 22, 2026
ostream.dev is a line-oriented streaming relay. This page describes what
data we collect and why.
Information we collect
-
Account identity. When you sign in with GitHub or Google, we
receive the identifying information they provide (for example, a provider user
ID, email if available, and a username or display name), and associate it with
an internal account record.
-
Account and key information. Other information you supply or
we generate in the course of operating your account — names and settings you
give to API keys, timestamps of activity, and the like.
-
Stream content. Lines you push to ostream.dev are held in a
bounded buffer for delivery to a consumer, and removed once delivered or after a
short TTL (currently 30 minutes) if un-consumed.
-
Operational data. Logs, metrics, and similar records we keep to
run, monitor, and debug the service.
Cookies
The dashboard uses cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the
service.
Service providers
We use third-party hosted services to operate ostream.dev — for example,
authentication, database hosting, application hosting, and edge
networking. These act as processors on our behalf and are subject to their
own privacy terms.
Data retention and deletion
-
Account information is retained while your account is
active. Revoked API keys remain in your account's records (for audit and
history) rather than being deleted on revocation.
-
Stream content is ephemeral — minutes at most, frequently
seconds.
-
Operational data is retained only as long as needed to
operate and debug the service.
Your rights
You can revoke any API key from the dashboard. To delete your account and all associated data, or to ask any other
privacy question, email contact@ostream.dev.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the
top will reflect the most recent version. Please check back periodically.
